Coming from the south, Darrell was always known to be creative. A brief encounter in the streets as a teenager, led Darrell to a promising career in Barbering. The story goes, While hanging with the wrong crowd, Darrell had a second chance in life to what some call, destiny. 

At 17, he was dropped off at a infamous barbershop where half of the town went for cuts.  This is where he received his first haircut when he was 2 years old.  During the time waiting for a haircut, the shop owner brought Darrell a broom instead of a spot in the chair. Darrell looks at the shop owner, and says: I’m here for a haircut, I don’t sweep! The shop owner grabs Darrell by his shirt, demands that he sweeps the hair right away or else! Within seconds, Darrell was officially working in the Barbershop sweeping hair. Within a year, he was a professional Barber stylist.  17 years later, Darrell has become a pillar of the community. With core values of building relationships and friendships instead of customers, he’s accumulated a strong following.  He lives by the motto, the customer is always right, no one leaves the shop without a haircut. He loves what he’s doing, he loves the community, and without doubt, lives for his friends that continues to support the shop with their business.
